These are good wines for cellaring, wonderfully concentrated and smooth, produced on terroirs of great repute.
These localities are to be found in the parish of Rorschwihr. Our village is unusual in that it is located at the beginning of the Ribeauvillé geological fracture zone. At this exact point, the Vosges fault line slopes very steeply and the earth is not covered with colluvial deposits or granite alluvion.
As a result, the earth and subsoil is both rich and deep. This particular geological-soil combination lends itself perfectly to producing excellent wine.
