Estate Fernand Engel - Wines of Alsace Vins Terroir Clos des Anges

The appellation of « Clos » may only be used for a plot that is completely separate from the rest of the vineyard.
This appellation is uncommon in Alsace.
Our 3.7 hectare « Clos des Anges » was created in 1992 following land reconsolidation. The terroir in question has undoubted potential to produce great quality wine (clay-limestone soil). Strict limits are fixed on the amount of wine produced from this plot.

Riesling 2007 Clos des Anges

Intense, complex nose. Deliciously full mouth-feel. Wide range of floral and fruit notes. Suitable for fine dining and prized fish varieties.
