The 2025 vintage remains marked by capricious weather. The vegetative cycle started early, encouraged by a mild spring, followed by intense heat in June, then life-saving rains at the end of July. Harvest began at record pace with the Crémants as early as August 27. At the start of the harvest, the vineyard showed very healthy sanitary conditions. However, the vines suffered from drought: the grape clusters are scarce and the berries are small. The humidity present at harvest time further accentuated yield losses. This is the smallest harvest we have ever seen. In spite of this, the wine promises finesse, freshness, lovely acidity, and an elegant, more “mineral” style.
